Jace Exteriors Ltd. is an exterior finishing company serving builders, site managers, and contractors throughout the Okanagan, Shuswap, and North Okanagan regions. We specialize in exterior cladding, siding, soffit, fascia, and gutter systems — the kind of work that happens at a specific moment in a build schedule, with a specific set of people counting on you to show up ready.

That responsibility shapes everything about how we operate. The contractors and site managers we work alongside have timelines, crews, and clients of their own depending on each trade being where they said they'd be, doing what they said they'd do. We take that seriously. It's not enough to do good work — you have to do good work at the right time, in the right order, without creating problems for the people around you.

We've built our reputation in this industry by being the kind of trade partner that builders actually want back on their next project. That means arriving prepared, working efficiently, and leaving a clean site behind us every single day.

How We Work

We know what it costs when a trade goes quiet, shows up unprepared, or pass problems downstream. So we made a decision early on: if an issue arrises on our end, we bring a solution to the table before it becomes someone else’s problem to manage.

That starts before we ever set foot on site. We review the scope, confirm the sequence, communicate clearly with whoever is running the build, and show up with everything we need to complete our work without interruption. When our turn comes on the schedule, the goal is simple—move things forward, not sideways.

On site, we hold ourselves to a short list of standards we don’t compromise on:

• Clear communication. If something changes, shifts, or needs discussion, we initiate it early, directly, and with a clear understanding of what’s needed or what we’re proposing. No one on our team leaves a site supervisor guessing.
• Clean sites. We work clean, and we leave clean. A tidy site is a safe site, and it reflects respect for the other trades and for the client whose home it is.
• Honest timelines. We provide realistic timelines and meet them. If something genuinely changes, we communicate it immediately and come with a plan—not an excuse.
• Preparedness. When it’s our turn on the build, we’re ready. Materials are staged, the crew is briefed, and the scope is confirmed. We’re not the ones holding things up.
• Trade respect. We work alongside a lot of skilled people on every project. We treat every trade the way we want to be treated: with professionalism, clear communication, and mutual respect for each other’s work.

The exterior of a building does more than define how it looks—as a home’s first line of defence, it determines how effectively it stands up to the elements, how energy-efficient it is, and how well the interior structure is protected.

We’ve invested heavily in understanding how high-performance building envelopes actually perform in real-world conditions. That includes rainscreen systems that help manage moisture and allow walls to dry, continuous exterior insulation to reduce thermal bridging and improve overall effective R-value, and properly integrated air barriers to control air leakage and associated moisture transport.

We place a strong emphasis on sequencing and detailing—especially at transitions, penetrations, and around windows and doors—because long-term performance depends just as much on installation as it does on the materials themselves. That attention to detail is what separates a truly durable exterior from one that simply looks good at completion.

We regularly work with builders targeting BC Energy Step Code Step 3, 4, and 5, and understand the higher expectations these standards set for energy efficiency, airtightness, and overall building performance.
